The CIO provides oversight and direction to company leaders on strategy, standards, and opportunities for platform and shared services. The CIO is a key contributor to the company’s strategy and planning process and is responsible for IT operations and infrastructure.
Partners with the Chief Technology Officer and other cross-functional business leaders and end users to create a vision for how technology can be a competitive differentiator for Viventium – utilizes data, analytics, and progressive technologies to help create a differentiated experience and drive efficiency in company operations.
Challenges the status quo, brings forward new ideas and drives the development of a winning future technology infrastructure strategy for Viventium operations.
Interfaces with management and business units to anticipate technology needs and tools for meeting the needs of Viventium operations and reporting, advises on practices or technologies that are or will become appropriate for their needs. Analyzes and provides the leadership to support management needs regarding information access, retrieval, and control, and the use of information technologies in the company’s operations and processes.
Develops and oversees the implementation of long- and short-term strategic and operational plans for IT that align with the company’s strategic priorities, business needs, service and operational excellence, resource planning, and growth at scale.
Leverages and transcends the existing IT applications/infrastructure environment to support future strategy, evolving needs, and growth of the company.
Builds best-in-class technology operations and capabilities with innovative delivery models leveraging both in-house and outsourced service teams.
Manages and oversees the comprehensive enterprise information security (InfoSec) program to ensure the security of Viventium’s platforms, data centers, applications networks, systems and servers, desktops, and the integrity, confidentiality and availability of platforms, databases, business and other data in an operationally efficient and effective manner.
Oversees and governs the development and support of technology Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Plans for all IT assets and systems.
Institutes and enforces security policy, frameworks, procedures, and measures that are relevant to how the Institution operates. Appropriately balances information assurance with ease of access to information necessary to job productivity, protects the information resources of the Institution and its clients, ensures regulatory compliance, and provides leadership in the education of all staff on the ethical uses of those resources.
Manages and overseas the selection, implementation and management of the company’s management information systems (MIS) in close collaboration with the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) to ensure effective, impactful and efficient operations.
Oversees management of third-party vendors in collaboration with Finance, including but not limited to software, IT hardware, desktop services, phone systems, managed services, data center, and network services.
Develops, submits and manages the operational and budgetary requirements for technology solutions to support Viventium strategy and internal business needs. Submits regular progress reports to management in context of timeliness, performance, quality, and costs to ensure all projects are undertaken on time and to approved budget. Oversees the development and implementation of the IT Infrastructure operating and capital budgets.
Supports a culture of client service, continual improvement and collaboration within IT and throughout the company stakeholder community. Is a role model of integrity, client service and results-oriented focus.
Who we are Looking for:
Technology background that includes experience serving as CIO or Head of IT with a proven track record of leading people, effectively and efficiently managing departmental operations and finances, aligning processes and technology in the pursuit of strategic business outcomes. Of critical importance is expertise implementing InfoSec policies and solution(s).
Proven experience building credibility and collaborating with senior business leaders and end users across the organization; able to drive change through influence and persuasion.
Proven experience leading innovative digital enterprise transformation and implementing modern technologies such as cloud, big data/analytics and emerging technologies to enable productivity and growth at scale.
